en-aiv left þe twi‛nz tuu rastii wa‛nz
This is how what the man said can be written in phonetic text (see
list of the sounds here).
Notes:
- en-oiv
= "And I've", the N Sound joins the next word, the O-I
Diphthong replaces the middle-class A-I Diphthong.
- left þe twi‛nz
= "left the twins", in the word "the" the Thorn Sound could
have been replaced by a V Sound but not in this case.
- tuu rastii
wa‛nz = "two rusty ones",
mainstream speech.
